IFDA International Event

We had a big international event October 9th at Toyo Kitchen Style in Osaka.

It was one of the Machi Decor event which is a huge network event of the interior and design industry and it is held in every October in Osaka. More than 120 companies participate in this  unique event. Each company holds a special event during Machi Decor based on one theme and people visit to each showrooms and companies holding Machi Decor guidebook in their hands. The theme of this year was "Home! Sweet Home!"

This year, as a president of IFDA(International Furnishing and Design Association), I really wanted to do something exciting and international project.

In these 3 years, I've participated in this interesting Machi Decor event and I realized that it's so important to exchange ideas and communication with other designers, artists and people of companies with sharing a good atmosphere in each showroom.

IFDA Japan chapter invited 10 American designers from the U.S. and we had a big talkevent and party.

The title was "Welcome Home" - enjoy your party style-.

5 designers introduced their house like a visual home tour and showed how they enjoy gathering with family and friends and introduced some tips of home party.

They also introduced the trend of American furnishing Industry.

It was so interesting!

At the end of the talkevent, Penny, International President of IFDA, gave us a special present.

They made this special day, Oct 9th, as " IFDA JAPAN DAY".

It was so honorable and we all appreciated it.

There were so many people at the party and we all enjoyed the conversation.

Akemi worked hard on this Japanese party table.

It looked really good!

I prepared IFDA party pick, too!

We had a really really good time.

Our relationship became much closer and stronger now.

Nice photo with all IFDA members and people who worked together for this event

So many gifts to Mr. Hara and Ms. Sai of Toyo Kitchen Style from American designer!

How nice!

Through this event, we could have our strong connection each other and we promised we hold Japan event in the U.S in 2019.

I am looking forward to it!!
