The Paper Forest

I produced "The Paper Forest" in Mino, Gifu prefecture.

This exhibition will be held until August 29th.

This Paper forest was made by all cardboard and Japanese traditional Paper, Washi.

Minowashinosato Kaikan

Mino city, Gifu prefecture.

Going through a very nostalgic street, called "Udatsunoagaru Machinami",

driving along the Itatori river, shining, the surface of the water.

There is a village called "Washi no sato" at the bottom of the mountain, 

where it is said that beautiful Japanese paper, washi, is made.

When you go further into the mountain,

you'll arrive at the colorful "Paper Forest",

the like you which you've never seen.

In this divine "Paper Forest", insects and animals quietly assemble.

This Forest has a mysterious power which makes all people who visit here smile.
