"The Paper Forest"

the paper art exhibition of Kirittai and Akari Koike

30, June 2016〜29, August 2016

I collaborate with Paper world corp. and Kirittai(Paper Cutting Art) and create the huge paper forest made by cardboard and Japanese traditional Paper "Mino Washi" at Mino Washi Paper Museum in Mino, Gifu.

This will the most biggest "by akari" installation since I created "paper party".

Mino washi paper has a history of over 1300 years.

I am so excited to think how we can produce the special atmosphere using washi paper and cardboard.

I feel exhilarated when I think how I can create it uniquely and make people feel happy in this paper forest.
